Victoria will go into a Lockdown with effect midnight tonight.

Football and netball training will go ahead tonight as scheduled.

Regrettably, and unlike previous lockdowns, this notification is occurring just a few hours before tonight’s Thursday night meals are due to commence. Our club caterer has already prepared food for these evening meals and given that the lockdown will not commence until midnight tonight, the Thursday Night meals will still go ahead so as to minimise loss of food and support our local businesses.

Scotty will have takeaway boxes for those people who wants to grab a meal and eat it at home.

I understand that some people will not want to attend during this period of uncertainty and it is important to remember that all attendance is voluntary. By training and having meals tonight we are still adhering to the health and lockdown guidelines.

Of course, it is understandable that some people may feel feel anxious about attending tonight. All we ask is that you tell your volunteer coaches and team managers if you will be absent.
